Cairns Animal Rescue Inc is a not-for-profit organisation. We have been established in Cairns since 2019.

We began with a handful of passionate volunteers, rescuing dogs from euthanasia in overpopulated pounds and fostering them in a home environment until we could connect them with a new family.

Sadly, this naturally expanded to the recovery of animals from neglect or cruelty situations where the dogs need additional love and patience while they rebuild their health and trust in humans.

To date, we have successfully rehomed more than 1,200 dogs and our team has expanded to more than 20 volunteers.

We’re a group of passionate, fun-loving and like-minded people – and we’re always looking for new people to join our team.
